Just as the fight against Covid-19 intensifies and celebrities, soccer stars and money bags in different countries are supporting with financial commitment, so Inter Milan wing-back Kwadwo Asamoah has joined other Ghanaian football stars in financial support to his native country.Asamoah has donated $20,000 in the fight against coronavirus

The 31-year-old donated the cash to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital – the second biggest hospital in the West African nation.

Asamoah, who hails from that part of the country, has given back to his people as they battle to fight the deadly disease that has claimed the lives of more than 100,000 people.

He joins some of the country’s biggest names who continue to rally round in the fight against coronavirus.

The money will go into the COVID-19 fund established by the government to complement the fight against the deadly virus.

That means the money will go towards protective equipment for doctors, paying for those in isolation and providing food and support for the elderly and homeless.

The Fenerbahçe target is currently in Italy- one of the worst hit European country with over 20,000 death over the novel outbreak.
